PA Demands Devolution Of PTB To Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th August, 2016) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Monday passed a unanimous resolution for the devolution of Pakistan Tobacco board (PTB) to the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The resolution moved by Arbab Jahandad of PTI was also carrying the signatures of members of all parliamentary parties.
The resolution said tobacco was an important cash crop and the growers of the province earn livelihood by cultivating the crop.
But, the farmers had many problems in this regard. The resolution demanded the Federal government to handover the affairs of PTB to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding the step would not only resolve the problems of farmers, but also increase the production of tobacco in the province.
