FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th August, 2016) : Youth are the most precious asset of the nation and by educating them we can make Pakistan a progressive country, said Dr Muhammad Ishaq Qureshi, former vice-chancellor, Mohiyuddin University, Azad Kashmir. Addressing a Jashn-e-Azad function at Aziz Fatima Medical & Dental College (AFMDC) on Monday, he highlighted the salient features of the Independence Movement and the Two-Nation Theory. He said that under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Muslims boldly faced the wrath of the colonial rulers and cunningness of Hindu mentality.
However, our Quaid with his vision, commitment, insight and leadership qualities convinced both Britain and Hindus to accept an independent and separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.
He lamented that immediately after the demise of the Quaid-e-Azam, our rulers put the Objectives Revolution into the cold storage.
Hence we failed to achieve progress and prosperity. Ijaz Hussain, director, Secretariat and Human Resources, AFMDC, also urged the students to work hard to achieve the ultimate objectives of the creation of Pakistan. Principal, AFMDC, Dr Qaiser Muhammad also spoke on the occasion and advised students to work hard. Later, a special souvenir of Aziz Fatima Medical & Dental College was also presented to Dr Muhammad Ishaq Qureshi.
