Series of programmes have been initiated with the allocation of huge amount of money for this purpose, a senior official of the Punjab Mines and Minerals Department told APP, here on Monday. He said that Short Term Skills Development Project under Chief Minister Skills Development Initiative is being completed with a total cost of Rs 160.612 million. Rehabilitation of Training for Mine Supervisors and Mining Technicians at Katas, Choa Sadan Shah and Chakwal will be completed with the total cost of Rs 90.

Latest study courses have also been launched for the students, he said. These include admissions to 141 students for three years diploma programme in Punjab school of Mines Katas, he added.
