Independence Day Paralympic Games concluded

PESHAWAR, (Pakistan Point News - APP - 15th August, 2016) : Independence Day Paralympic Games concluded here at Qayyum sports Complex under the aegis of Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with disable players in athletic, table tennis, swimming took part. Former International Swimmer Asad Khan was the chief guest on this occasion. Secretary KP Disable Association Ijaz Khan, international coach Syed Jaffar Shah, former Olympian athlete Nasur Ullah was also present.

In the athletic 100m Shahab won gold medal, Badshah took silver and Shahnawaz won bronze medal. In the Long jump Shahab won gold medal, Badshah got silver and Ashraf took bronze medal. In the Badminton event Muhammad Adeel defeated Shahnawaz by 2-1 and won the final, in the Table Tennis Standing Abdullah beat Ibrahim by 3-0, the score was 11-7, 11-9 and 11-6. Sajjad beat Ilmas Khan by 3-1 and got third position. In the Table Tennis Wheel Chair final Iltaf beat Zabi Ullah by 3-0, the score was 11-7, 11-9 and 11-9. In the Swimming event 100m free style Badshah won gold medal, Muhammad Adeel won silver medal and Ashraf secured bronze medal. At the end, the chief guest gave away certificates, medals and trophies to the position holders.
