Flag Hoisting Ceremony Held At NUML

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Augst,2016) : A simple and impressive flag hoisting ceremony was held at National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad to mark the 69th Independence Day of the motherland.

Director Administration NUML Brig (R) Ziaul Hassan Sahi hoisted the National Flag at the varsity while Deans, HoDs, Directors, officers and other staff of the university were also present on the occasion.

National anthem was also played on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion Director Administration Brig Ziaul Hassan Sahi felicitated the whole staff on the eve of Independence Day and highlighted the vision of Father of the Nation Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

He said that Quaid Azam in his various speeches stressed the need of the education and asked youth to learn modern knowledge. "Quaid expected from students to play proactive role for the benefit of Pakistan and NUML is following the Quaid's footprints by giving its students opportunities to shine in the world", he said.

Brig Sahi said that NUML is also taking an initiative to open NUML International Centre of Education (NICE) in Xinjiang Normal University Urumqui, Xinjiang China. NUML is the first university of the country to open its campus in China. He vowed to set new standards in higher education as well.
