Oman's Junior Hockey Team To Visit Pakistan Next Month

ISLAMABAD,(APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Augst,2016) : Oman's junior hockey team will tour Pakistan next month to play a four-match series with Pakistan's youngsters in Lahore. "The Oman Hockey Federation has requested us for a series with them.
We've agreed to play the series against prior to the Asia Youth Hockey Championship," Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Shahbaz Ahmed Senior told APP. The Asia Youth Hockey Championship will be held from September 24 to 30 in Dhaka and Shahbaz said that the series against Oman would provide much needed practice to the youngsters ahead of the important event.
"The series against Oman will be held in Lahore with the first fixture taking place on September 16," Shahbaz said. He said that the federation was leaving no stone unturned in providing all necessary facilities and practice to the youngsters as it believed they were the real asset of the country.
"We are focusing on them as we believe they are our future," the PHF secretary added.
