Religious Ministry Invites EOI For Arranging Short Duration Hajj

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Augst,2016) : The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has invited the expression of interests (EOI) from enrolled quota holder Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs) for arranging Short Duration Flight (SDF) for Hajj 2016. According to official sources, the duration of Short Duration Flight (SDF) would be 13-14 days for Hajj 2016.
The applications could be submitted by August 16. Bids will be opened in presence of bidder on the same day at 1230 hrs. Incomplete bids would not be entertained. The sources said quotations must be submitted alongwith bank draft of Rs 25,000 (Non-Refundable) in favour of Pilgrim Welfare Fund, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony on a prescribed format in sealed envelope. The applicant HGO must submit experience certificate of handling such Hajj groups.
The successful HGOs would have to sign an agreement with each of their client pilgrims prior to departure for Hajj.
The rates offered in the bid would remain unchanged. The HGO is required to submit five percent performance guarantee of each package in the form of bank/cash guarantee to be released only on showing satisfactory performance. The strength of each group would be 100-150.
The number of Hujjaj may be changed as per demands/requirements. The expected departure would be September 5, first Zulhajah or 2nd Zulhajah. Expected return would be on September 18 or 14 or 15 Zulhajah. There would be three categories including economy, standard and luxury packages. Spokesman Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noor Zaman told APP that the ministry had itself arranged the Short Duration Flights last year.
The year the has outsourced the short duration hajj. Ministry would facilitate HGOs for arranging Short Duration Hajj.
