Public Parks To Be Closed On I-Day

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th August, 2016) : The district administration has directed the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) to keep all public parks and other picnic points close on the Independence Day.
A spokesman of the local administration said here on Saturday that the step had been taken to avert any untowad incident of terrorism.
He said that administration of Iqbal Stadium, Sind Bad, Fun Land, Model Bazaar Jhang Road, Fun Dunya have also been directed to keep the sites closed on Sunday so that people could not gather at these places. After Quetta tragedy, the government has decided to celebrate Independence Day in a simple manner, therefore, the ID functions would not be allowed at open places, spokesman added.
