Azadi Kitab Mela Attracts Book Lovers

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th August, 2016) : Azadi Kitab Mela of National Book Foundation, organized by National History and Literary Heritage Division, has attracted a large number of book lovers, families and students.
The 8-day Qaumi Kitab Mela was inaugurated by Commander of Southern Command Quetta Lt. General Amir Riaz at University of Balochistan, Sariyab Road in Quetta, says a press release. A week-long Independence Day Celebrations have been launched by the Government of Balochistan.
The NBF and prominent publishers from other cities have installed book stalls where books on different topics are available at subsidized prices.
NBF has arranged innovative and informative programmes for the book lovers during eight days of Mela such as lucky book draw, mega book fair, book reading sessions, book anthem, quiz competition and many other programs.
A large number of people of every walk of life including girls, children, students, families and social media are visiting book stalls daily.
