ISIS Loses Control Manbij The Key City Of Syria

Syria,(Pakistan Point News - 13 August,2016) : ISIS militants have lost control of the key Syrian city of Manbij to US-backed rebels and appear to be using civilians as human shields as they flee, the syrian media sources said. U.S.-backed forces have seized full control of the northern Syrian city of Manbij near the Turkish border after the last remaining Islamic State fighters, who had been using civilians as human shields, left, a spokesman for the group said Friday. The Manbij operation in which U.S. special forces have played a significant role on the ground marks the most ambitious advance by a group allied to Washington in Syria since the United States launched its military campaign against Islamic State two years ago.
