'Private Sector Equally Participates In Independence Day'

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th August, 2016) : Like other sectors of the country, the corporate sector equally participates in the joyous moments of Independence Day and makes a pledge to transform the country into a real welfare state.
In a message on the Independence Day of Pakistan, Pakistan Furniture Council Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq said, "Independence Day always reminds us of the struggle and sacrifices rendered by our forefathers for achieving the goal of a separate homeland and now it is our duty to safeguard the ideological boundaries of the country by forging unity among our ranks." He stressed the need for acquainting new generations about the importance of independence and the Pakistan Movement so that they could be able to play their role in the progress and prosperity of the country.
He said, "We must also remember the message that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah gave to the nation on the occasion of the first anniversary of Pakistan on 14th August, 1948: 'Nature has given you everything.
You have got unlimited resources. The foundations of your state have been laid, and it is now for you to build, and build as quickly as you can'." Regarding terrorism, Mian Kashif said that the government and the armed forces were making strenuous efforts to curb the menace of terrorism from the country and in this regard, they were enjoying nation's support.
He said that local and multinational companies including METRO, CSD, ChenOne and other companies were offering 50 per cent discount on its products to customer to mark the celebrations of the Independence Day of Pakistan.
He said that like the public sector buildings, flags would be hoisted at the offices of multinational companies. Apart from it, quiz programs and cake-cutting ceremonies would also be held to mark the day.
