SC Announces 10 Vacancies Of Law Clerks

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Augst,2016) : Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday announced 10 vacancies of Law Clerks for a period of 1 year commencing in September, 2016 as part of the Supreme Court's Law Clerkship Programme.
According to details the applicants must Possess a law degree from a recognized Pakistani university and have completed a law degree no more than two years ago. The applicant must not be more than 30 years of age. A law clerk works under the direction of the Judge to research points of law, prepare memoranda of facts and law and generally assist the Judge as required.The post of Law Clerks will work for a period of 1 year commencing in September as part of the Supreme Court's Law Clerkship Programme, which period may be extended by another year subject to certain conditions.
The applicants will have to obtain three letters of recommendation from professors at the University from which the applicant has obtained the law degree or from members of the bar with whom the applicant has worked.
The applicant will also have to submit one writing sample that demonstrates the applicant's skill at legal reasoning and writing and/or the applicant's knowledge of Pakistani law. The submitted writing sample should be of a maximum of 3,000 words.
The applications must reach the office of the Deputy Registrar (Admn) Supreme Court on or before August 31, 2016.
