Punjab Govt To Celebrate I-Day With Simplicity: Arshad

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Augst,2016) : Punjab Parliamentary Secretary Information Rana Muhammad Arshad on Friday said the Punjab government would celebrate Independence Day with simplicity in view of Quetta tragedy.
"Chief Minister Punjab has directed all government departments to organize events as part of Independence Day celebrations in a simple way," he said, adding the entire nation was saddened over the Quetta carnage and they wanted to show complete sympathies with the bereaved families. Speaking to this scribe at his office Rana Arshad said Quetta tragic incident was highly deplorable.
He said blood of martyrs would not go waste and day was not far off when Pakistani soil would be free from terrorists.
He said final touches had been given to hold speech competitions, essay writing, sports and seminars at union council, tehsil, district and provincial levels to highlight significance of the day and to pay rich tributes to the heroes of Pakistan movement.
He said foolproof security arrangements had been made at the places where events of I-Day celebrations would be held. In this regard, he said police and relevant law enforcement agencies had been put on red alert to ensure peace on Independence Day.
