Karachi To Host National Women Volleyball Championship

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th August, 2016) : National Women Volleyball Championship to be held from September 1 to 4 in Karachi in which teams from four provinces and different departments would participate. Joint Secretary Sindh Volleyball Association and convener media committee of the tournament informed in a statement that teams of Sindh, Punjab, Khaiber Pakhtoonkhuwa, Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Higher education Commission, WAPDA, Railway, Pakistan Army, and Navy were invited to participate in the national championships and all the invited teams except FATA confirmed their participation.
He said that the decision to hold the women championship was taken in a meeting of Sindh Volleyball Association held here with president SVA Naeem Zafar Shah in chair while secretary Shahid Masood, Furqan Hussain, presidents and secretaries of all divisions attended the meeting. The meeting also nominated Shahid Masood as organizing secretary while a media committee was also formed.
Pervaiz Ahmed Shaikh would be the convener of the committee, sports organizer Kashif Ahmed Farooqui would be the secretary and Farhan Mumtaz member of the committee.
