Govt Taking All Steps To Deal With Flood Situation: Ranjha

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th August, 2016) : Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha has said that Punjab government is taking all measures to provide protection to the people during the expected floods. While visiting the flood affected areas of Talibwala bridge, Kot Naja and Chak Khana, Tehsil Kotmomin, he said that the Punjab chief minister had ordered for the visit to review the flood affected areas and provide relief to the affected people, said a handout issued here Thursday. Mohsin Shahnawaz stressed that flood camps should be established at the right locations for flood affected people.
He said that local philanthropists and media persons should also be taken on board. Ranjha further said that a whatsapp group should be created with the civil administration officials, district government, elected representatives, union council members as its members to keep all concerned updated in the flood season. DCO Sargodha Danish Afzaal informed the participants about availability of flood-fighting equipment, preparedness of tehsil administration, steps taken by the district and tehsil administration in the flood-hit areas and liaison among different departments.
