Entire Nation United Against Terrorism: Durrani

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th August, 2016) : Minister for Housing and Works Akram Khan Durrani has said the entire nation was united to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country. The terror incidents, he said, had declined in the country due to effective measures of the government. Talking to ptv, the minister said law and enforcement agencies were active to foil nefarious designs of militants adding that armed forces were destroying the hideouts of the terrorists. He said terrorist acts in Balochistan were aimed sabotaging national projects being launched in the province.
He said the government had lauded the army, Rangers and police for their role in the fight against terrorism. Akram Durrani condemned the terror attack in Quetta and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives.
He expressed sympathies with the injured. He said All Parties Conference (APC) should be called to evolve consensus on the national issues and urged the opposition to identify problems of the masses and the government would sincerely resolve them.
Replying to a question, he said that Pakistan always tried to maintain good relations with all the neighbouring countries. He said Kashmir was a national issue and condemned Indian atrocities on the Kashmiri people in Indian Held Kashmir and urged all television channels to highlight programmes on Indian barbarism on innocent Kashmiris. PML-N MNA Aashiq Kirmani said the national institutions were effectively working to complete wipe out terrorism and condemned the attack on lawyers in Quetta. PTI leader Shafqat Mehmood said India was behind terror attacks in Balochistan.
All the political parties were united to eliminate terrorism from the country, he added.
