On Punjab government's helicopter that crash-landed

Afghanistan  (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Augst,2016) ,on the Spokesman said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was in constant touch with Pakistan embassy in Kabul and the Afghan authorities, for the early rescue of crew. He said the crew was safe as updated by the Afghan government. The Spokesman regretted the statement of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani regarding Pakistan's counter-efforts and said such hostile statements were unhelpful and served the purpose of those who were against peace in Afghanistan. He said Pakistan, being the host of Afghan refugees for last 35 years, remained committed to facilitating every effort for peace in Afghanistan and in the region.

About the black-listed U.S citizen Mathew Craig Barret detained in Islamabad, the Spokesman said the issue was being dealt by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Ministry of Interior. He said the visa was issued by Pakistan's Consulate in Housten and the matter was under investigation to fix the responsibility. On Pakistani workers stranded in Saudi Arabia, he said the government was cognizant of the issue and was taking every step to facilitate them.
