Hong Kong stocks rise by the close, Shanghai falls

HONG KONG, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Augst,2016) - Hong Kong stocks rose Thursday after a boost from financial companies, while Shanghai ended lower. The Hang Seng Index added 0.39 percent, or 88.12 points to 22,580.55. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.53 percent, or 16.11 points, to 3,002.64 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 1.28 percent, or 25.24 points.
