Chinese Leadership Expresses Shock On Quetta Terrorist Attack

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : Chinese leadership including President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday expressed deep condolences and shock on the Quetta terrorist attack. The Chinese President, Premier and Foreign Minister in their separate messages addressed to President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz extended condolences on the terrorist attack and reiterated China's support to Pakistan in the fight against terrorism. According to Foreign Office, Chinese President Xi Jinping in his message addressed to President Mamnoon Hussain said, "I was shocked to learn that the terrorist attack in Quetta of Balochistan Province has caused heavy casualties. The Chinese people share deep sympathy with the Pakistani people on such sufferings." "On behalf of the Chinese Government and people as well as in my own name, I would like to extend deep condolences to the deceased and sincere sympathy to the injured and bereaved families," he added. "China is opposed to all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns the terrorist attack.
The Chinese side will continue to firmly support Pakistan's effort to fight against terrorism, safeguard national stability and protect the people's lives and safety," President Xi said. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in his message addressed to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said, "I was shocked to learn that the terrorist attack in Quetta of Balochistan Province has caused heavy casualties.
The Chinese side strongly condemns this attack." "On behalf of the Chinese Government, I would like to extend deep condolences to the deceased and sincere sympathy to the injured and bereaved families," he said. "China is firmly opposed to all forms of terrorism and will as always, support the unremitting efforts of the Pakistani Government and people to safeguard national security and stability and fight against terrorism," the Chinese Premier added. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in his message to Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said "I was shocked to learn that the terrorist attack in Quetta of Balochistan Province has caused heavy casualties.
I would like to extend deep condolences to the deceased and sincere sympathy to the injured and bereaved families." "Terrorism is the common enemy of the human society. The Chinese side is opposed to all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns the terrorist attack," he added. "The Chinese side is ready to strengthen cooperation with the Pakistani side to fight terrorism and safeguard common security of the two countries, as well as provide assistance within its capacity to help Pakistan improve its capacity building on counter-terrorism," the Chinese Premier added.
