SC Dismisses Bail Plea Of An Accused Involved In Dacoity

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a bail plea filed by an accused convicted for dacoity in the Federal capital. The division bench of the apex court comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood heard the bail plea filed by accused Shahzad Ahmed over trying to looting a woman outside money changer office in Islamabad.
During the course of proceedings, the counsel for accused told the court that neither there was any evidence against his client regarding looting of the woman nor recovery was made in the case.
The Advocate General Islamabad told the court that the accused in this case was identified after identity parade, adding, the accused was also nominated in 37 other cases. Justice Asif Saeed Khan remarked that the accused was identified after identity parade which was a strong and irrefutable evidence against the accused.
