No Negligence To Be Tolerated In Anti-polio Campaign: DCO

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : District Coordination Officer (DCO) Talat Mehmood Gondal Wednesday said government would take stern action against those showing negligence in the anti-polio campaign. Chairing a meeting to review anti-polio campaign arrangements starting from August 22 to 26 in the district, he underlined the need for effective utilization of all available resources to run the campaign successfully, particularly in the high risk union councils.
Under the drive, the DCO said 1,950 polio teams, 396 area incharges, 204 medical officers, allied hospitals and Tehsil Headquarter hospitals would participate in the drive, during which, 811,708 children would be administered polio vaccine. The DCO advised parents to come forward and play their role in ensuring vaccination of their children to eliminate the crippling disease.
