Breastfeeding Week Held At Khar

BAJAUR AGENCY, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : Additional Political Agent Bajaur, Muhammad Irfanuddin Khan has said Federal government was making all out efforts to provide basic and modern health care facilities to the people of tribal areas at their doorsteps. He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of World Breastfeeding Week held at Agency Headquarters Hospital Khar on Wednesday.

The breast feeding day was arranged by Health Department, Mother Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH) programme in collaboration with UNICEF.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional Political Agent said that federal government was determined to provide best health care facilities to people of agency especially tribesmen living in remote and far-flung areas. He said that huge amount have been allocated for the health care facilities in annual development programme of current fiscal year.

He asked health officials to accelerate efforts to ensure health care facilities to people. Later, the participants held a walk to highlight importance of breastfeeding.
