ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Augst,2016) : Environment Wing of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) intends to carry out beautification, renovation and restoration of F-6 Super Market on design-build basis. According to official documents available to APP, CDA has set to develop recreational facilities at different public locations, which included restoration of pathways and landscape elements to the original design besides installing functional lights in the Markaz. The civic body describes Super Market as the mirror of the Federal capital, which has also been the starting point for the implementation of majority of CDA's past development and restoration projects.
The CDA had already allocated a hefty amount in its fiscal budget 2016-2017, for the restoration, renovation, development and beautification of F-6 Markaz. Talking to APP, a CDA official said some amenities will be added to the markaz besides having facilities like dustbins and benches for public. The CDA's restoration plan also includes rebuilding and beautifying the four sides of the road edges, and installation of ramps at multiple locations, he added. The CDA also intends to install new night lights around the markaz, he said, adding the civic agency would leave no stone unturned to transform F-6 Markaz into a model market.
