NCSW Holds Seminar On First Aid Life Skills

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Augst,2016) : National Council of Social Welfare (NCSW) organized a seminar on 'importance of First Aid in national life and its social Impacts' here on Wednesday to disseminate self-safety measures among people. The seminar was aimed at training officials of NCSW with basic rules of First Aid. Chairing the moot,the Cooperation Coordinator International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) said they have started such training in government, semi-government and private offices.
He said in emergency situtaion it was imperative for the people to keep themselves calm and understand the situation rather than getting panic.
"It is important to save your life first and then look for others to minimize life losses," he stated. NCSW Chairman Dr Nadeem Shafiq Malik, speaking on the occasion, said every citizen should be trained to save his / her life and others in an emergency situation. He added that such training gave critical knowledge and confidence to the people to effectively manage situation in case of accident, natural calamity or bomb blast etc. A team of Rescue 1122 presented a demonstration on the occasion under the leadership of Dr Tanseer Asghar.
