Hong Kong, Shanghai stocks open flat

HONG KONG,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Augst,2016) - Hong Kong stocks and Shanghai stocks opened flat on Wednesday despite gains on Wall Street and in Europe. The Hang Seng Index was up just 0.08 percent, or 19.06 points, at 22,484.67. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.07 percent, or 2.21 points, to 3,023.47, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.03 percent, or 0.55 points, to 1,982.11.
