ASTORE, (Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2017 ) : Vice Chairman Union Council (UC) Gultari of Astore, Muhammad Ibrahim has said that there are 36 villages in Gultari UC with only one Health Centre (HC) and the facility has no doctor for the last one year. Talking to local media persons here on Tuesday, he said healthcare situation at Gultari UC was not satisfactory and needed to be improved. He said the elected representatives of UCs did nothing to resolve this issue.
He appealed to the local administration of Astore and provincial government of Gilgit Baltistan to look into the matter and depute a qualified doctor at this health centre besides establishing more healthcare facilities for thousands of the area people. He further said that people of Gultari also have no high school which was a matter of grave concern and needed to be addressed at the earliest. He demanded high school and another health centre in the area to facilitate the vast population of Gultari. APP/msf/vak/anm
