ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Augst,2016) : The Jamaat-e-Islami in occupied Kashmir has said that India is utilizing all its military to suppress the voice of Kashmiris, ignoring the fact that by strangling Kashmiris' throat, New Delhi cannot suppress their conscience. The Jamaat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar said Indian establishment has been employing various tactics and gimmicks since 1947 to make people of Kashmir forget their inalienable right of self-determination promised to them through UN resolutions for passing of which India played a leading role, Kashmir Media Service reported. "But with the passage of only a few years, India distracted from its promises though the resolutions are still alive in the relevant records and India has to abide by its pledge today or tomorrow," it added. The Jamaat deplored that Indian government was bent upon perpetuating its occupation into a permanent form quite against all moral and diplomatic etiquettes by dint of force. "Nowhere pellet guns are used for suppressing the public agitation but against the peaceful agitation of Kashmiri Muslims, these fatal weapons are freely used in a very inhuman way with the result that more than sixty youth got killed and thousands injured out of whom the eyesight of about two hundred has been very badly affected and hundreds others have become partially or totally disabled," it added.
The statement said the hospitals in the valley are fully packed with the injured and everywhere people express deep pain and every soul looks sad. "India forces are crossing all limits of mercilessness and it seems they are deprived of human hearts," it further said. Everyday human blood is spilt without any consideration that those killed and badly injured are unarmed and protest peacefully, the Jamaat added. Jamaat-e-Islami expressing its deep sorrow over the silence of the world over the crucial and painful situation the people of Kashmir are facing, impressed upon them to send high-level delegations to observe the anti-human attitude of India towards the hapless and helpless civilians in Kashmir.
