Islamabad Police Enhance Security At Courts, Hospitals

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : The officials of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and capital police have further tightened security in Sector F-8 and also around the hospitals and lower courts especially for lawyers, judges and visitors.
"With the purpose to fully secure this area in the aftermath of blast in Quetta and overcome the security loopholes, it has been decided to make elaborate arrangements at all important places," sources told the APP here on Monday.
The police sources said that different available resources were being utilized for the purpose and a boundary wall had been erected around the Kutchery, besides installing walk through gates at entry points while more than 150 policemen personnel had been assigned security duties there.
He said that six police pickets had been erected in the vicinity of Kutchery while rapid response force continuously patrol there. He said that SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani had directed to further enhance security measures.
The sources said that security for lawyers was the top priority of Islamabad police and elaborate arrangements had been made for the purpose.
He said that visitors come to Kutchery in large number from morning to evening on daily basis, and despite several constraints, efforts were being made for effective security.
He said that foot patrolling of Rangers personnel would be started in Kutchery limits and high alertness would be ensured. The sources said that security cameras had been installed while high vigilance was being maintained against the suspects.
He said that vehicles in parking lots remained under constant monitoring and rapid response force patrol on continuous basis with only three minutes response time. In addition the sources said that security around hospitals had also been enhanced and every vehicle would be allowed to enter hospitals' premises after thorough checking.
He said more cameras would be installed at entry and exit points of the hospitals while steps would be discussed with hospitals administration for effective security arrangements. He said that SSP Sajid Kiani and other police officials would conduct surprise visits of important places in the Capital to review security arrangements.
