CEAD Holds Certificate, Tool Kit Distribution Ceremony

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : The Centre of Excellence in Art and Design (CEAD), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro organized the certificate and tool kit distribution ceremony for the trainee of PMYSDP's National Vocational Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) phase 2 at MUET auditorium.
More than 1000 students from Matiari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Hyderabad and Jamshoro were given the certificates, said an official statement issued here on Tuesday. Addressing the ceremony Vice-chancellor MUET Prof.
Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uqaili said that NAVTTC program is a good opportunity for depressed youth of our society and it reflects the long term vision of Prime Minister. He said that our attitudes play vital role in our society so it's better to improve them for welfare of others.
Dr. Uqaili said that we have to think deeply that have we got independence in real sense, because the dozens of people die daily in unfortunate incidents and youth has to play critical role to avoid such happenings.
He further said that in this month of independence we should promise to change our attitudes for betterment of society and head towards change at individual level. Executive Director NAVTTC Islamabad Zulifqar Ahmad Cheema said that the number of trainees in Sindh will be increased in upcoming phases and remuneration will be given 3000 per month to each trainee.
He said that NAVTTC will introduce competitions amongst trainees of different areas and they will be sent abroad on basis of their better performance.
Cheema further said that the trainees will be given loan packages without interest for their business. Director CEAD Prof. Dr. Bhai Khan Shar said that NAVTTC program has shown great results for the skill developments of youth and it is proud for us that the trainees of CEAD are doing their own business and earning well reputation in the society.
He said that we will continue our collaboration with NAVTTC to help the youngsters of deprived areas of Sindh who could not be able to study in higher educational institutes. Pro Vice-chancellor MUET Prof.
Dr. Tauha Hussain Ali, Dean Architecture and Civil Engineering MUET Prof. Dr. Ghous Bux Khaskheli, Director General NAVTTC Sindh Abdul Raheem Shaikh, Director NAVTTC Sindh Ms. Nabila Umar, Deputy Director NAVTTC Sindh Abdul Aziz Chandio and Coordinator NAVTTC, CEAD Fazal Illahi Khan were the guests in the event.
The guests were taken to exhibition in CEAD organized by students, where they appreciated their creative skills.
