IOK govt employees committee urge authorities to stop harassment

ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), a body of government employees in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), has asked the administration to stop harassing the employees. According to KMS, EJAC President Abdul Qayoom Wani in a statement issued in Srinagar urged the authorities to stop harassing the employees in view of prevailing circumstances, unrelenting curfew, public protests and stringent restrictions.

He appealed to the employees to come forward at this crucial juncture and help their brethren in these difficult times and should mitigate the sufferings of the oppressed. Wani expressed deep and heartfelt sympathies and solidarity with the innocent people who lost their lives or were injured by the use of pellet guns and lethal weapons by the armed forces in the valley. He urged the human rights organizations and intellectuals to use their good offices and compel the Indian government to stop the use of pellet guns and other lethal weapons against innocent Kashmiris.
