Federal Ombudsman Committed To Redress Grievances Of People: Amanat

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : Advisor to Federal Ombudsman Malik Amanat Rasool has said that Federal Ombudsman is committed to redress the grievances of the people at their door step. He was talking to media here at his camp office in Attock after listening to public complaints.
He said that on the instruction of Federal Ombudsman Muhammad Salman Farooqui, the services of ombudsman have been extended to 435 tehsils of the country. He said, after establishment of federal ombudsman camp offices at tehsil level now people have not to travel to Islamabad for the redressel of their grievances as now their grievances are settled at tehsil level with in a month.
He said, now any citizen of Pakistan can lodge complaint against any department on a piece of paper or On Line and the complaint if found genuine is redressed with in a month with out any financial burden.
He said, Federal Ombudsman secretariat under the command of Muhammad Salman Farooqui has settled 253,000 complaints during the last three years. Amanat Rasool said, today seven complaints were redressed pertaining to SNGPL and WAPDA . He said , at Islamabad level complaints are redressed in 45 days while at tehsil level the complaints are redressed in 25 days.
