CM's Rs. 5 Mln Assistance For Dr Sadia, Widow Of Dr Sagheer

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : The Chief Minister's Advisor on Health Khawaja Salaman Raffique gave a cheque of Rs. 5 million to Dr. Sadia, widow of Dr Sagheer Sameeja of Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur at her residence. Dr Sameeja died after contracting Congo virus during surgery of a student nurse of DHQ Hospital, Lodhran BVH. Khawaja Salman Raffique expressed condolence with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
The advisor lauded the services of Dr. Sagheer who sacrificed his life while serving the humanity. On the behalf of Chief Minister Punjab, Salman Raffique announced allottment of official residence to widow of Dr Sagheer for 25 years.
Dr. Sadia is working in the pathology department of Quaid e Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur. The advisor also announced confirmation of Dr. Sadia as Assistant Professor and employment to the brother of late doctor, stated a hand out. Special Secretary Health Dr.
Sajid Mehmood Chohan Commissioner Bahawlpur Saqib Zafar, Principal QMC Professor Dr. Khawaja Haroon Pasha and MS BVH Dr. Shahid Faraz were also present.
