ICC officially releases T20 World Cup anthem

A team of over 40 people including modellers, designers, mater painters, animaters, lights and compositors worked together to make it a reality.

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Sept 23rd, 2021) The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the tournament’s anthem titled ‘Live The Game’.

The tournament is just one month away.

Indian music composter Amit Trivedi composed the song for the tournament which features avatars of Indian captain Virat Kohli, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, West Indian skipper Kieron Pollard and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell.

The short film also showed the young fans transported to the exciting world of T20 cricket, playing with their favorite players.

The avatar animation also featured a brand-new broadcast technology that blends both 3D and 2D effects. A production team of over 40 people including modellers, designers, mater painters, animaters, lights and compositors worked together to make it a reality.

Pollard said, “T20I cricket has proven time and time again that it can engage fans of all ages, and I’m excited to bring some fireworks to the stadiums in the UAE and for those watching all over the world,”.

He also said, “The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be the toughest and most exciting tournament on record,” pointing out that there are so many teams that could take the trophy and every game would be like a final.

It may be mentioned here that the tournament will start on Oct 17 with Qualifiers while Super 12s would start from October 23 and the final match will be played on November 14 in Dubai.
