KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2021) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the importance of increasing the presence of the fleets of the alliance's member states in the Black Sea, Zelenskyy's office said on Wednesday.

"As part of his working visit to the United States, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. Speaking about the importance of joint efforts with NATO to enhance security in the Black Sea region, the president stressed the importance of further increasing the presence of NATO fleets in the Black Sea, as well as interaction of Black Sea coastal states. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine was ready to actively participate in relevant joint actions with the alliance, and also expressed interest in expanding the number of joint exercises," the office said in a statement.
