Biden Approval Rating Falls To New Low Of 43% After US Withdrawal From Afghanistan - Poll

US President Joe Biden's approval rating has fallen to 43%, the lowest level since his inauguration in January, following the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, a new Gallup poll revealed on Wednesday

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2021) US President Joe Biden's approval rating has fallen to 43%, the lowest level since his inauguration in January, following the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, a new Gallup poll revealed on Wednesday.

Biden's approval rating has lost 13 percentage points over the course of past 3 months. In July, it fell to 50% from 56% in June amid growing cases of the coronavirus Delta variant and remained roughly on the same level in August, at 49%, according to a press release accompanying the poll.

With respect to Vice President Kamala Harris, 49% of Americans approve how he has handled her job and 49% disapprove, the poll found. However, her rating is better than Biden's by six percentage points.

Biden continues to enjoy widespread approval of 90% among Democrats and extremely low approval of 6% among Republican voters, according to the poll results.

The poll was conducted on September 1-17 vie telephone among 1,005 adults from all age groups and US states and the District of Columbia.
