PAF Trainer jet crashes near Mardan

Pakistan Air Force Spokesperson says that the trainer jet crashed when during a training mission near Mardan while reports suggest that the pilot who was flying it has died.

MARDAN: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Sept 22nd, 2021) A trainer jet of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed near Mardan, district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), PAF spokesperson said on Wednesday.

The jet crashed during a training mission near Mardan. The Air Headquarters formed a committee to investigate the causes of crash incident.

The reports suggested that pilot who was flying the trainer jet could not survive and died after jet crash.

Last month, in a separate incident, two pilots of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) ejected and landed safely after a fighter jet crashed during a training session near Attock.

Responding to the incident the Pakistan Air force (PAF) authorities had said no reports of any life losses have emerged from the ground, while both the pilots in the training jet had ejected the crashing flight timely and landed safely as well.

PAF said that the Air Headquarters had formed a board to learn facts on how and why the fighter jet crashed.
