"Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso and Doc Willie Ong to run for President and Vice President in the 2022 Philippine national elections," a statement on his Facebook page read.
On Tuesday, Philippine boxing star and Senator Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao announced his presidential bid in the 2022 vote.
The current leader of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, is barred from serving another term as president by the Philippine constitution. On September 8, he officially accepted his nomination for vice presidential candidate in next year's election.
The 2022 Philippine presidential vote is scheduled to be held on May 9 as part of the national general election.
