European Stocks Steady At Open

LONDON, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th august,2016) : European stock markets were stable at the open on Tuesday after a dip on Wall Street. London's benchmark FTSE 100 index was flat at 6,80.59 points compared with the close on Monday. In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained nearly 0.
1 percent to 10,438.60 points.
The Paris CAC 40 dipped almost 0.1 percent to begin at 4,412.86. US stocks retreated from record highs Monday while petroleum-linked shares rallied as OPEC hinted it could take action next month to strengthen oil prices. Tokyo's main index meanwhile ended higher Tuesday.
