Illegal Construction: RDA Seals Six Buildings

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th August, 2016) : Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Monday sealed six illegal under-construction buildings here on Adyala road and Morgah Road areas. According to RDA spokesman, Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate, Building Control department staff under the supervision of Enforcement Incharge Rana Tariq Javed Khan with the assistance of Rawalpindi Police carried out an operation at Hassan Homes, Safari Enclave-II at Adyala road and New Morgah road and took action against four houses, plaza and a hostel.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Division/Director General, RDA, Azmat Mahmud had directed the authorities concerned to take strict action against illegal and unauthorized constructions, commercial activities and encroachments. He warned the citizens not to violate the building rules otherwise strict action in accordance with the law would be taken against the rules violators as the Building Control department is regularly conducting operations against illegal residential and commercial constructions.
