Medium Level Flood Warning Issued

MULTAN,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Augst,2016) : The district administration here issued medium level flood warning and urged people of riverine areas to move to safer places or flood relief camps along with their cattleheads. An emergency meeting, chaired by District Coordination Officer,Nadir Chathha here on Monday was briefed that three lakh cusecs water deluge would enter River Chenab in about three days. This would cause medium level flood in Chenab but it will not be dangerous,the meeting was briefed.
However,the district administration was alert to deal with any situation. It was decided in the meeting to make announcements from mosques for the safety of people.The flood relief camps would be supplied food items, medicines, fodder and other necessary items, the meeting was told. Officials said ample stocks of food items, medicines, boats and life jackets were available with district administration. The DCO directed the officials to take police help for shifting people of river areas to safer places.
