Saudi Arab impose 2 years Hajj ban for UAE expatriates

RIYADH, (Pakistan Point News – 25th April, 2017) : According to a statement by General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (Awqaf), United Arab Emirates (UAE) expatriates will not be able to perform Hajj this and next year. Officials said that this step was taken because of strict 'adherence to national quotas'. Dr Ahmad Al Mousa, spokesman for Awqaf said that only UAE residents will be given the Hajj permit this year and the following. He further said that this 'ban' is applicable for all the countries around the World. This decision was made last week in the meeting involving Saudi Ministry of Haj and Haj Ministries of other countries. Reportedly,this year at least 20,000 citizens have registered online for the Haj permits, and only third of them will be issued permits to perform pilgrimage
