ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Augst,2016) : Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India and its puppet authorities are planning to recruit so-called Special Police Officers on the pattern of the erstwhile notorious killer gang, "Ikhwan", in the territory. According to Kashmir Media Service , Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar pointed out that the recruitment of SPOs was nothing but a measure aimed at reviving the notorious Ikhwan culture in the territory.
He said the ikhwanis wiped off an entire generation of freedom-loving people throughout the Valley. "The puppet administration is least bothered about the employment and welfare of Kashmiris.
It just wants to strengthen the Indian rule and to do so it creates such local forces to give the impression that the situation in Kashmir is managed and controlled by the Kashmiris themselves and in case force is used only Kashmiris will be killed on either side," he added.
The ailing leader said that 8 lakh Indian soldiers aided by local forces had failed to suppress the freedom sentiment of the people for almost seven decades. He said while the ongoing bloodbath and massive peaceful protests demanded a serious approach the Indian government to address the core issue, the imperialistic forces always rely on their might and Indian rulers did the same by calling more troops to crush the movement. He appealed to the youth not to be misled by the false and cosmetic tactics of the puppet regime as "these are just to hoodwink the global powers whom they try to convey that it's the local forces that are in total control here in the territory."
