Stiglitz quits Panama Papers probe, cites lack of transparency

Panama,(Pakistan Point News - 6 August,2016) : Two members of Panama papers Inquiry Committee assigned by Govt. resigned saying that Govt. is not interested in investigation. Joseph Stiglitz, the Nobel Prize-winning economist, resigned from the seven-member Panama Papers investigation committee that was set up to investigate lack of transparency in Panama's financial system. He said that the committee itself lacked transparency. Mark Peith, chairman, OECD Working Group on Bribery also resigned.
