LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th August, 2016) : Rain-thunderstorm, with isolated heavy falls, is expected at scattered places in Punjab including the provincial capital during the next 24 hours. According to Met office, rain thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Punjab including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir.
Heavyfalls may generate flash flooding and landslides in the vulnerable areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir. According to synoptic situation, heat low lies over north Balochistan.
Monsoon currents are penetrating in southern parts while moderate monsoon currents are also penetrating in upper parts of the country and likely to intensify during next 24 hours. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, D.G.Khan divisions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir during last 24 hours.
