Al-Huda Wins Int'l Award For Providing Best Islamic Finance Education

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th August, 2016) : Al-Huda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics (CIBE) has won an international award of the best Islamic Finance education Provider for year 2015-16. Al-Huda CIBE Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Zubair Mughal said here Saturday that award ceremony was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, under the supervision of Islamic Finance Forum of South Asia (IFFSA) in which the CEOs of banks, representatives of central/commercial banks and delegates related to Financial and Capital market participated from more than 15 countries. He mentioned that according to ICD - Islamic Development Bank Report 2015, Al-Huda CIBE also ranked at first position for organising seminars/ training globally for Islamic Banking and finance industry, and ranked third for organising conferences of Islamic Banking and Finance. He said that Center's R&D Head Hafsa Saadat addressed the award ceremony and apprised the participants that any institution could introduce it-self at international level however, it was not any easy task to achieve this award as there was a great competition among different international institutions.
Mughal narrated that Al-Huda organised more than 1,000 educational and capacity building programmes in more than 40 countries including USA, UK, Germany, France, Japan, Nigeria, Tanzania, UAE, central Asia countries, and Russia etc.

The Centre, he claimed, had also provided its advisory and consultancy services in establishment of a number of Islamic banks, Takaful companies, Islamic fund and Islamic microfinance institutions in different countries. The CIBE also has different online programmes of Islamic banking, Islamic fund, Takaful, Halal industry and Islamic microfinance in different languages.
