CTP Plan For Smooth Traffic Flow During PAT Protest

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th August, 2016) : The City Traffic Police (CTP) have deployed additional officials to maintain smooth traffic flow on roads during the protest of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) at The Mall. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, directed the traffic officials to set up 14 points to divert traffic and depute all the CTP office staff at diversion points.
Nine DSPs, 46 traffic inspectors, 128 patrolling officers and 560 traffic wardens including office staff under the supervision of two traffic SPs would perform their duties to ensure smooth traffic flow on roads during the protest. The CTO directed the DSPs to conduct patrolling on roads during protest and utilise all available resources to facilitate the people by diverting traffic flow at diversion points.
