Tokyo Stocks Rise At Open As Weaker Yen Lifts Exporters

TOKYO, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Augst,2016) - Tokyo stocks opened modestly higher Friday as a weaker Yen boosted exporters and investors focused on US jobs figures due later in the day. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index edged up 0.15 percent, or 24.10 points, to reach 16,278.99 in opening deals, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares was up 0.17 percent, or 2.21 points, at 1,285.20.
