Archeology Deptt To Inspect Mankera Fort, Bagh-e-Dilkasha

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Apr, 2017 ) : Officials of Archeology Department Multan will visit 3000-year-old Mankera Fort and Mughal era Bagh-e-Dilkasha, both situated in district Bhakkar, during the next week.
It has been experiencing deterioration for long, said Sub-Divisonal Officer (SDO) Archeology Department Ghulam Muhammad while talking to APP, here on Saturday.
The fort remained a tough obstacle for many conquerors, especially Alexander the great, a commander of Muhammad bin Qasim, Aswad Zohair, Mughals, Raja Ranjeet Singh and others.
However, they all succeeded in conquering the fort. He said that he received a letter from officials attached with Mankera Fort and Bagh-e-Dilkasha about the condition of the sites. He said the department representatives would visit the two sites during the next week and compile a detailed report.
He said rehabilitation of the sites would be decided following complete inspection of the sites.
