Independence Preparation Gains Momentum In KP

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : National flags are being seen everywhere in Khyber Pakthunkhwa as people have started decorating their houses, streets and markets to express their love to their country on its independence day. The shops and bookstalls here are flooded with national flags, varieties of stickers, buntings and badges and people are seen busy in buying these things to celebrate the independence day.
People from all walks of life are being seen in large number who have decorated their vehicles with national flags. "I brought 25,000 stickers and badges carrying photos of Pakistan Movement heroes and all of them had been sold in last four days," Nasir, a shopkeeper at Qisa Khwani bazaar told APP.
Ehtesham Khan, a student said, "I bought 1000 stickers and badges for my friends to celebrate th independence day. He said that we should not forget our martyred security personnel on this independence day. Meanwhile, the political parties, public and private organizations have planned scores of events to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner.
Rallies, processions, exhibitions and colourful functions in all small and major towns and cities of the province would be held in KP and Fata in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.
