4% Decrease In Housing Finance Loans

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : Four per cent decrease was recorded in the issuance of housing finance loans, as a total 67625 people availed the housing finance facility during 12 months period ending on March 31, 2016 as compared to 70368 people during the corresponding period of last year, according to a State Bank of Pakistan's (SBP) report.

The SBP report further said that in the three-month period ending on March 31, 2016, housing finance loans of Rs 5.35 billion were issued to 1055 people. It said that Islamic Banking sector remained prominent for housing finance during this period, in which Rs 3.14 billion loans were issued, while other private banks issued Rs 1.11 billion loans, House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC) issued Rs 878 million loans and other finance institutions issued Rs 216 million loans.
